Abstract: भारत में राष्ट्रीय, राज्य और जिला स्तर की पार्टियों को मान्यता के साथ एक बहुदलीय प्रणाली है। भारत के चुनाव आयोग (ईसीआई) द्वारा समय-समय पर स्थिति की समीक्षा की जाती है। वे राजनीतिक दल जो स्थानीय, राज्य या राष्ट्रीय चुनाव लड़ना चाहते हैं, उन्हें भारत के चुनाव आयोग द्वारा पंजीकृत होना आवश्यक है। भारत के चुनाव आयोग (2018) के हालिया प्रकाशन के अनुसार, भारत में पंजीकृत दलों की कुल संख्या 2,598 है, जिनमें से 8 राष्ट्रीय दल हैं, 52 राज्य दलों के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त हैं और 2,538 गैर-मान्यता प्राप्त दल हैं। पंजीकृत दलों को उनकी पार्टी के वस्तुनिष्ठ मानदंडों के आधार पर मान्यता प्राप्त राष्ट्रीय या राज्य स्तर की पार्टियों के रूप में माना जाता है।
