Abstract:
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a well known neurodegenerative disorder which demolishes the vital brain cells causing trouble with memory, thinking and behavior, brutal enough to affect work. The recognizing factors of Alzheimer’s disease include deficiency of acetylcholine, toxicity caused by free radicals, and inflammation of the brain tissue.

Abstract:
A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the chemical transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. Classically, chemical reactions encompass changes that only involve the positions of electrons in the forming and breaking of chemical bonds between atoms, with no change to the nuclei (no change to the elements present), and can often be described by a chemical equation. Nuclear chemistry is a sub-discipline of chemistry that involves the chemical reactions of unstable and radioactive elements where both electronic and nuclear changes canoccur.

This paper describes and compares the quality of different brands of blended Ordinary Portland Cement (43-grade cements) collected from local traders. Various chemical constituents like calcium oxide, silica, magnesium oxide, iron oxide, aluminium oxide were determined based on standard specifications. Most of the samples have all the constituents around acceptable range with few acceptions. Properties, like, Lime Saturation Factor (LSF), Silica Ratio (SR), Alumina Ratio (AR) and Hydraulic Modulus (HM) were also calculated

Abstract:
Phytochemicals are produced by plants as a defense mechanism against pathogens. They are used to treat various metabolic, immunological and neurological disorders in humans in various parts of the world as a part of traditional medicine. The use of indigenous plants in commercial medicine is rising with increasing population. The antimicrobial properties of plant extracts led to increased demands. Plant tissue culture on the other hand, has proved to be a reliable alternative for the production of bioactive compounds from plants. Artificial plant culture can enhance the production of phytochemicals in medicinal plants. This review focuses on the medicinal properties of phytochemicals.
