डॉ॰ अर्चना गौड़Abstract: हिंदू समाज में विवाह एक धार्मिक अनुष्ठान माना जाता है। हवन, यज्ञ, पूजन आदि का पूर्ण-अनुष्ठान पुरुष अपनी अर्द्धांगिनी के साथ संपन्न करता है। रामायण में भी राम के द्वारा सीता का परित्याग कर देने के पश्चात् अश्वमेघ यज्ञ में सीता की सोने की प्रतिमा को बाम अंग रखकर यज्ञ का संस्कार पूर्ण किया गया। अतः धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों में सहभागिनी का होना अनिवार्य है। भारतीय संस्कृति के इस तथ्य को उजागर करते हुए डॉ॰ महेन्द्रनाथ श्रीवास्तव ने ठीक ही कहा है -“गृहस्थ आश्रम में व्यक्ति विवाह का सर्वप्रथम अपनी पत्नी के साथ धार्मिक क्रियाओं का संपादन करता है। बिना विवाह के अनेक धार्मिक अनुष्ठान यज्ञ आदि पूरे नहीं होते।” \r\n |

Dr. Rita BoraAbstract: Sexual harassment in sports remains an underreported and under-researched issue, particularly among male athletes. This study investigates the prevalence and patterns of sexual harassment among elite male Indian athletes, comparing those involved in combative and non-combative sports. Using the Sexual Experiences Questionnaire (SEQ) as a tool, the research examines three key dimensions: gender harassment, unwanted sexual attention, and sexual coercion. A sample of 150 athletes (57 combative and 93 non-combative) was analyzed using Levene’s Test and Independent Samples t-test. Results reveal no statistically significant difference in overall harassment scores between the two groups, indicating that male athletes across both categories are equally vulnerable. These findings also highlight the need for further research and policy formulation addressing the sexual safety of male athletes in India. |
