Abstract:
The process of globalization has transformed the entire world. It has made drastic impact on human intellectual abilities, psyche, society and natural environment.It has created an innovative form of global society which puts forward its concerns about environmental degradation. As a result business organizations and corporations have started modifying their operations to incorporate environment friendly measures.Many new concepts have been adopted as suitable measures. Green banking is one of them. Green banking is a paperless banking process. It focuses on the twin goals – reduction of carbon footprintsand environmental sustainability. It reduces the use of paper, power, and energy. This paper proposes to explore the concept of Green banking and its scope in India in the making of our environment human-friendly and enriching our economic productivity.
