  • Beyond the Desk: Mental Health initiatives in IT/ITES sector

Abstract: This study explores the relationship between employee demographics, awareness and perception of mental health resources, and job satisfaction within the IT/ITES sector. We hypothesized that demographic profiles influence awareness of mental health resources (H1), years of experience affect perceptions of mental health initiatives (H2), job satisfaction is positively correlated with the perceived effectiveness of mental health resources (H3), alignment of personal and company goals leads to higher job satisfaction (H4), and a supportive work environment enhances job satisfaction and well-being (H5). Using a cross- sectional survey design, data were collected from 150 employees via structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were employed to analyse the data. The results indicated a weak positive correlation between job satisfaction and perceived effectiveness of mental health resources (R = 0.1009, p = 0.3180), leading to the rejection of H3. Descriptive analysis revealed diverse perceptions regarding job satisfaction and mental health resource effectiveness. The study highlights the importance of a holistic approach to employee well-being, addressing gaps in long-term effectiveness and the impact of organizational culture on mental health outcomes. These findings suggest that tailored, sustainable interventions are crucial for enhancing employee well-being in the IT/ITES sector.

Abstract: This meta-analysis investigates the Quality of Work Life (QWL) of male and female police constables, focusing on the multidimensional factors affecting their work experience, including organizational support, stress, job satisfaction, and career development. By examining various studies, this analysis highlights both shared and gender-specific challenges that impact QWL. The findings suggest the need for targeted interventions, particularly gender-sensitive policies and leadership approaches, to improve QWL and enhance police performance.

Abstract: कभी - कभी एक साधारण परिवार के व्यक्ति को उसकी योग्यता के कारण नियति आश्चर्य जनक रूप से सब कुछ प्रदान कर देती है परंतु वही नियति जब छिनने पर आती है तो आपका सब कुछ इस तरह से छिन जाता है, जिस प्रकार मुट्ठी में रखी रेत कब हाथों से फिसल जाती है , कुछ पता ही नहीं चलता कुछ व्यक्ति उन परिस्थितियों की मार के थपेड़ों की चोट से अपने आप को संभाल नहीं पाते और तिनकों की भांति बिखर जाते हैं , परंतु कुछ ऐसे व्यक्तित्व भी होते हैं जो उन थपेड़ों की मार को अपने अंदर ही समेट कर उनकी परछाई तक भी अपने कर्तव्य पर नहीं आने देते । वह जानते हैं कि यदि वे अपने दुःखों को भूलकर अपने कर्तव्यों पर ध्यान नहीं देंगे तो उनके आस - पास के लोगों की विषम परिस्थितियों से निकल कर विकास के मार्ग पर चलने की यात्रा में ये लोग पीछे रह जाएंगे और तब निखर कर आता है एक अद्भुत व्यक्तित्व जो पूरी दुनिया को आश्चर्य के समुद्र में गोते लगाने के लिए विवश कर देता है।

Abstract: In the ever-evolving field of education, examining the " the influence of personality traits on teaching efficacy among trainee teachers " reveals a powerful dynamic where the teacher-student relationship plays a central role. Teacher personality influences not only the classroom atmosphere but also student motivation and long-term academic and personal development. A wide spectrum of teacher personalities from authoritarian to laissez-faire creates a complex interplay between authority and approachability, significantly shaping students’ educational experiences beyond conventional teaching roles. Personality traits shape pedagogical styles and instructional decision-making. For instance, extroverted teachers may prefer collaborative and interactive teaching methods, while introverted educators may gravitate towards structured and reflective strategies. Teachers with high levels of openness are more likely to incorporate creative and innovative techniques, embrace student-centered learning, and integrate interdisciplinary approaches. Conscientiousness is often associated with well-organized lesson plans, punctuality, and reliability traits that are essential for managing classrooms effectively.

Abstract: In this modern society, the effect of globalization can be seen in each and every field of development, that is education, health, agriculture, trade as well as information technology, etc. Globalization in a broader sense means that Global is local and local is global. The concept of globalization refers to any modern policies and programmes which are being adopted by any developed Western Country which can be adopted to an extent by any underdeveloped or developing country of the East. In other words, the curriculum of the best Universities of the world can be adopted and implemented in our universities to make higher education job-oriented. By adopting the curriculum of the best universities, we can give best graduates to our society. It can be acknowledged that the concept for change is universal, irrespective of society. We can analyze that globalization has brought positive change in society, thus making life of men, women, and children more comfortable and target-oriented. Thus, in other sectors that is in health, trade, and agriculture, we can see the modern researches in health sector to make our life more healthy, thus resulting in an increase in longevity. The increase of life span of humans is also a gift of globalization as modern treatment methods, equipment, and apparatus is nowadays globally available. In other words, we can analyze that the benefits and advantages of globalization have provided positive changes not only in education and health sector but also in trade sector thus improving the economy of the individual in particular and the country as a whole.

Abstract: भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित मध्यान भेजन योजना ने बच्चों के विकास और उनके विद्यालयी शिक्षा में काफी महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव डाला है। जैसा कि हम सभी जानते हैं कि एम0डी0एम0 कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत 1995 में हुई थी हालांकि इस योजना को 2007-08 तक पूरे बिहार में सफलता पूर्वक लागू कर दिया गया। इस योजना के अंतर्गत वर्ग प् से वर्ग टप्प्प् तक के बच्चों को मुफ्त में दोपहर का भोजन प्रदान किया जाता है जो उनके स्वास्थ्य और विद्याालयी शिक्षा दोनो के लिए आवश्यक है।
